Why use Pelican cases

Pelican shipping and transport cases have been thrown out of helicopters in Iraq, towed along in the icy waters of Alaska and rolled over by SUVs in Africa. With only a few scratches to show for, the case contents are left unscathed. Minor war wounds for major bragging rights and that's what it is all about. You need to get your gear from point A to point B.

Stronger by Design

The Pelican shipping and transport case uses an open cell core and solid wall construction that is actually stronger than a solid core wall. Travel light with heavy protection. The Pelican shipping and transport case has a distinctive twin ribbed top surface for strength. Stainless steel pins are used for the hinges and handles. No corrosion problems. The new double throw latches are smarter and easier to open; it's the classic "C" clamp design with a secondary movement that works like a pry bar to start the release and offers plenty of leverage to open with just a light pull. The latch, which is made from a strong ABS plastic, has a failure threshold of nearly four hundred pounds. Metal reinforcements are placed around the padlock protectors for added strength and extra security against cutting and theft.

Watertight

The secret to a good seal is the tongue-in-groove fit with a neoprene o-ring acting as a waterproof seal. Also, there is the newly designed Automatic Pressure Equalization Valve that works on the molecular level. It uses a Gore-Tex membrane that allows high-pressure air molecules caused by altitude changes to escape. But water molecules, which are larger, are prevented from entering. The result is equalized pressure inside and outside the Pelican shipping and transport case and it is easy to open.

Extra Protection

Pelican cases come empty or with pick and pluck foam which allows you to customize the interior to fit your gear. The case contents stay in place and get extra protection at the same time. Customized foam inserts can also be designed and manufactured. For extremely sensitive microchips and circuit boards, materials with antistatic properties and foam that protects against electrostatic discharge are available. Where purity or out gassing is an issue, cross linked foam expanded with nitrogen is chemical resistant and perfect for medical equipment and some electronics applications. If you have to organize your supplies, Pelican has optional padded dividers made of durable nylon covered foam pads. Individual compartments are adjustable using a hook and loop system. Lid organizers are available made of leather or strong ballistic nylon with nylon zippers. They come with a multitude of pockets in various sizes to protect and help keep your gear organized. They are easily installed with the included hook and loop kit. Finally, your company logo can be applied to the Pelican case in multiple colors as a decal or hot stamp using strict PMS print controls. You will approve the paper proof or first article prior to the production run and, like everything that Pelican manufactures, our imprinting is 100% guaranteed.

You Break It, We Replace It… Forever.

The Pelican case has a legendary unconditional lifetime guarantee of excellence.. Pelican will send you a new one regardless of how old your previous Pelican case is.
